The Portage Hike and Bike is a scenic towpath that runs through downtown Kent. I teamed up with another designer to envision a new signage system that would capture the spirit of the trail, a mix of industrial sights and natural flora and fauna. Frosted glass makes up the main surface, to let the greenery be sensed through the sign. This semi-translucent glass is anchored by recycled materials made to imitate wood, and concrete blocks to call back to the manmade aspects of the trail.
